Located on a secondary branch of the Sèvre Niortaise, this mill, known to all locals and hikers, intrigues with its charm and history.

Dating from the middle of the 18th century, it was, until the French Revolution, an outbuilding of the Abbey of Saint Liguaire. It was only at the beginning of the 20th century that the mill was entrusted to millers who operated it until 1985.

Spread over 1 hectare of land, mainly classified as a natural area, the buildings consist of three main parts: the mill, a dwelling and a former stable. The last two are connected by an 80 m2 attic. The mill, which spans the river downstream, has a building on three levels. The ground floor houses the two wheels, whose masts operate the millstones on the first floor.
