At the heart of a village located on the greenway that connects Paris to London, is a pretty village full of charm.
It is there that an artist decided one day to put down his suitcases in order to revive a large house which as the beauty was asleep. And we can say that he did more than that!
While highlighting the place by the creation of a gallery of 60 sqm and 6m high, everything here was designed to highlight the works and the comfort of their creator. The tall walls, the cleverly mastered light and the heated floor contributed to the development of the artist and his creation.
The restoration of the property of the 18th century has undergone the same rigor. While preserving the original materials, the house benefits from the comfort of today combined with the elegance of the past.
From the grid, the eye is lost on many details. The kiosk, the pond and its water lilies, the park, the flower beds and the terraces invite you to relax.
A small guest house and a technical outbuilding complete the exterior.
The main door opens onto the adjoining corridor that reveals cement tiles, antique woodwork doors, marble fireplaces and wrought iron staircase. From this corridor you can access a library, a living room, an office, a dining room and a kitchen with pantry.
The night space is divided in two. A first staircase serves the private space of the masters of the place and consists of a large bedroom and a bathroom with toilets.
The main staircase leads to a hall which serves a suite composed of two bedrooms with shower room and WC.
A second bedroom with full bathroom this level.
The 2nd floor hosts the 5th bedroom and its bathroom. Two other bedrooms share another bathroom.
An office completes the floor.
For a long time occupied by the artist, this house which serves mainly today as bed and breakfast could also serve as a refuge for members of a large family.
